Voting Instructions

In November 2024, we filed our union petition with the Public Employee Relations Board.

We’re one step closer to making our AFSCME Maryland Supervisors Union official, and now it’s time to vote for AFSCME MD, Council 3 to certify our union with AFSCME!

Important Dates!

  • Friday, January 24: Ballots are mailed out to all eligible supervisors in Unit S.
  • Thursday, February 6: Final deadline to request a replacement ballot. To request a new ballot, please call the Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) at (410)-260-7291 or email Executive Director Erica Snipes at [email protected].
  • Saturday, February 15: Deadline to postmark ballot and mail back.

Step 1

Mark your ballot in secret by placing an “X” next to AFSCME MD, Council 3. Make no other marks on your ballot.

Below is a sample of what the ballot looks like.

Step 2

Put your ballot in the white envelope marked “Secret Ballot” and seal the envelope.

Step 3

Put the white envelope marked “Secret Ballot” into the return envelope with the Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) address.

Step 4

Print your name on the back of the return envelope. The envelope addressed to the Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) includes pre-paid postage.

Step 5

Mail your ballot immediately. To be counted, your ballot must be postmarked by Saturday, February 15, 2025.

  • Mark AFSCME MD, Council 3 on your ballot?
  • Place your ballot in the secret envelope and seal it?
  • Place the sealed secret envelope in the return envelope and seal it?
  • Print your name on the back of the sealed return envelope?
  • Mail your ballot back before Saturday, February 15?
